1) Release tire late in 2007, after the cutoff date for 2007 eligibility.
2) Make the tire cheaper than the Potenza and the Neova (probably the only two tires that are in the same league)
3) Have the tire beat out one of the established favorites, the Potenza RE-01R, in a major comparison test.
5) Discontinue the relevant 17″ sizes before anyone can actually buy them.
